Also, the cars were very very dirty.
All in all the service was horrendous and my money was partially refund. HOWEVER I made another reservation through HERTZ (who has the same credit check policy) and I was quickly given my rental with great & pleasant service. I would NOT recommend this location for your rental and I will NEVER offer my business to Avis again!
Horrible experience will never attempt to rent from this company again.

I rented a car, they said the insurance would cost 11 dollars per day, then they charged 20. Also they said they could give me a lift to the airport, but the day after that, they said they were not allowed to go to the airport. Almost lost my flight because they're a bunch of liars!
I had a horrible customer experience with this Avis location, specifically with the pick up of my reservation. I booked a car for my travel plans days before using my card online. The car was paid for and confirm through the bank. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was denied the rental per Avis credit check policy...(Even though I rented from Avis many times before from the same location under different management) I was then met with cold hearted and rushed service. It became SERIOUS and potentially DANGEROUS because I would not have any mobility when HURRICANE MATTHEW was fast approaching the east coast of Florida during mandatory evacuations. I called the corporate office to calmly explain the seriousness of the situation but to no avail...(Had the same reaction from Avis corporate customer service). What made my experience even worse was that Avis could not refund the full amount I PAID for the service.
