We love Daytona Beach but I think was our last visit.
Horrible place....unless your a roach!
We booked 4 rooms. I called down and talked to the lady at the front desk 4 times before booking, Was told all four times there were no Roachs. They where old but clean which would have been fine if the was true. When we arrived they looked OK from the outside, and we looked at the inside old but looked clean. Much to our suprise there was old food in our silverware drawer 3 of the rooms didn't have silverware or dishs or cookware. The Bob manager said the rooms had been double cleaned, he had a hand sprayer that he sprayed the rooms with for the roaches, "that were everwhere" was not working. Bob the manager said he takes care of his long term customers not customers that stayed a night or two, he was not worried about those customers. Bob the manager had told us of a family reunion guest that was coming in for the weekend, at which time the carpets were cleaned air conditioners replaced the stairs and walk way was cleaned with a power washer for the family reunion guest, we where trying to figure out why it was not cleaned for all the guest. After hours of trying to reach the office by phone our last night there the noise and drunken family reunion guest had taken a toll on our family we packed up and left. After returning home we call Bob the manager asking for our last night to be refunded, due to the drunken family reunion guest. Bob told us that there would be no money refuned. His remake was TO BAD GET OVER IT and hung up on me.
Worst place to stay at in the state of Florida, leaks all through the concrete roof in every room during the hurricane and hallways, the place should be condemned. We thought we were going to die during the hurricane and the place is run by a bunch of Misfits that should be behind bars and no regard for someone's life or safety. They say they will fix something if you go to them but they never do. Code enforcement is after them as well. Please be advised about this place to stay as far away as possible from it and never EVER go there. Also, instead of Beach Haven Inn it should be renamed Bed Bug Inn. If you want to experience an apartment just living this place for one day and it's equivalent to the TV show naked and afraid. This place used to be good when Doug, the original owner, used to own it until he died and left it to his sons, The Three Stooges
Yea my standards are much higher then this place and Im Damn proud of that. Would not recommend staying there.
