I have been a Dillard's customer for years and am sorry to say, customer service has been steadily getting worst every time we go their. My son and I went to the mall today we parted ways he was told to meet me upstairs by the escalator at Dillard's. When he got their he called me , I told him I was going to the restroom and would meet him in about 5 minutes. He is 16 and quite capable of taking care of him self. There use to be chairs by the escalator but there are not anymore, So like every kid he sat on the ground. About that time a security officer came up to him and asked him what he was doing. He told him I'm waiting on my Mom she is in the restroom. He told him to move to the chairs to the east of the escalator. He texted me and told me where he was . ( I understand them not wanting him to sit on the floor) Three minutes later he is again approached by the security officer , asking him which bathroom is your Mother in are you sure shes here why don't we take a walk to find her. About that time I showed up and asked what the commotion was all about. Was told it was all taken care of, like it was none of my business. My son was very polite and would of followed this man anywhere ---- (that's what scares me) but why did this MAN have to move him. Is it now a crime to wait on your mother. All he was doing was playing on his phone. The sales lady weren't very nice to me , never asked me if I needed anything. It was all an unpleasant experience.
Staff is very helpful. Like this location.
I like this store. They have nice stuff, nice staff and easy in and out. Two thumbs up!
Horrible customer service!!! Had GLARING saleswoman in cosmetics not believe me that my Estee Lauder lipstick was bad. It was the last of two and they had to have the box it came in to accept the return. When i called they said they would exchange it but omitted bringing in the box it came in. I have the box Luckily. We have shopped and bought thousands of dollars of clothing. This is nothing like Saks or Nordstrom which have great return policy. Even the local grocery store KNOWS its customer...publix knows our name and treats us so well. I couldnt stand the stares and unfriendliness....( remember Julia Roberts in Pretty Women). All my makeup experiences have been bad. On the otherhand..my husband had great experience buying a linen suit at the mens dept. with a guy named jermaine. I will not buy any more makeup at dillards. They act so reluctant to give you a sample too. Bad business practice. Be prepared...and think before you go and ask their name and go to the manager. Cant stand the treatment.
