Fun place to eat near the board walk. Food was good. Kid friendly
We sat outside to enjoy the ocean breeze, the bikes, and to people watch. Service was excellent! Our waitress anticipated our needs and was prompt with taking our order, getting the drinks, and delivering our check. We ordered a chicken basket and a fish basket. Both were really good..fries served in basket were seasoned and crispy. We will definitely return to try some other menu items.
I went their very late sunday night, probably almost closing time, i ordered a sandwich, it came out in good time an i was very impressed by the quality of the meat ( ham, Turkey, bacon) an the over all sandwich itself. Great atmosphere, inside an out side bar, also the music that was playin; all my favorites. I will definitely recommend my friends an go again myself
I just had what was probably the single most awkward experience that I have ever had at a dining establishment, tonight at the Cruisin Cafe. I went in there to have dinner with my mother and my two daughters who were both visiting from out of town, it the first time any of us had been there. The decor was really cool and the food was great and the service had been pretty good until, towards the end of our meal our server (who had already brought our ticket to our table and left it) walked up to our table and abruptly inturupted me in mid-sentence in a conversation with my daughter to ask if she could take my payment now. I was shocked by her crass rudeness but I handed her the ticket and my credit card. She then left our table only to return a few minutes later to hand me my card back but she also gave me back our ticket and a pen. So, I assumed that my signature was needed for the credit card validation, so I signed the receipt, put it back in the holder and set it aside. Our server returned to our table a few minutes later and once again inturupted our conversation to ask if she could take the ticket again. I gave it to her. And for the next 10 minutes or so, while my daughters and I were finishing up our conversation the server seemed to be hovering around our table. I realized that she was(very obviously) hinting and waiting for a tip. I had not written in a tip amount on the ticket because I only had so much left on my card and had decided to give her a cash tip. I was very close at this point to deciding not to tip her at all due to her crassness. Then as we all stood to prepare to leave, I was just reaching into my pocket for my wallet to get money out to give her her tip, but before I could complete that action, she approached our table and with a very accusatory look on her face and a very interrogative tone of voice, asked "was everything OK or.... " it was very obvious that the unsaid part of that thought was 'where is my tip' at that point I had had enough! I left without leaving a dime! I have NEVER left a dining establishment without leaving a tip. I am in the food and beverage industry myself and I fully understand the importance of tipping! I almost felt like I 'dined and dashed' because, for me, the tip is a required part of the bill! But this was just beyond rude and in very bad taste and there was just no way I was going to give gratuity for such rude service.
My boyfriend and I were in town for the NASCAR race and came here for food and drinks both Friday and Saturday night. Fun atmosphere and great service! The bartenders working had great chemistry and worked the area so perfectly rotating and speaking to all the customers so we never had to wait around for service. Michelle, one of the 3 bartenders working Friday night made the BEST drinks and had hands down the best customer service! The DJ is also awesome and super interactive with anyone on the dance floor! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to go out and have a good time! When we come back to visit we will for sure be back!
